Long before he became a leader, Kindu was one of the very first children to walk through the doors of the Bridge of Hope Children’s Village. He was a quiet dreamer with great discipline and intelligence. He grew up with not only ambition in his heart but also gratitude and purpose in his soul. From a young age, he distinguished himself through his admirable character, discipline, and academic excellence.

With outstanding achievements, Kindu graduated in social anthropology from the University of Gondar and later pursued and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA), which further strengthened his capacity to contribute meaningfully to society.

Today, he serves as the Head of Administration and Finance at the Bridge of Hope Gondar Office, where he protects the very mission that once protected him. Every budget he manages, every system he strengthens, and every decision he makes carries the heartbeat of someone who truly understands the value of a second chance.

Kindu’s journey is a powerful full-circle story. Once a vulnerable child in need of care, he now stands as a leader within the very institution that shaped his life. His leadership goes beyond technical expertise; it is deeply personal.

Bridge of Hope Ethiopia is a non-profit humanitarian organization established in 2001, dedicated to supporting orphaned and vulnerable children in Ethiopia through education, healthcare, nutrition, shelter, and community development programs. Founded through Swiss and Ethiopian collaboration, it has supported hundreds of children and thousands of families over the past two decades.

Kindu’s journey reflects the heart of this mission. He is not only managing an organization; he is sustaining a legacy of hope. His life stands as living proof that when children are nurtured with dignity, care, and opportunity, they can grow into leaders who create lasting change for others.
